Frederick, Maryland – April 2, 2014 – Swift Systems, Inc. recently completed an SSAE-16 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements Number 16) (SOC 1) Type II audit and certification process. The audit deeply scrutinized the company’s controls and related operations to ensure that Swift’s internal systems are secure and that they are following industry set best practices for data center / collocation, cloud hosting, and managed IT services.
As part of the certification process, I.S. Partners, LLC of Horsham, PA, a Certified Public Accounting firm registered with the AICPA, and a recognized authority for SSAE 16 and Service Organization Controls (SOC) audits and related attestation services, tested the redundancies and controls to hold information securely and the accuracy of Swift’s descriptions and assertions of operational controls, including their implementation and effectiveness.
Throughout the audit process, change control is an integral part of evaluating a company’s procedures and testing security controls.
