New Feature: Formula Columns for Table Fields

Administrators can now configure formulas inside a table field. This feature allows columns to automatically calculate and display results based on other columns, eliminating manual data calculation and ensuring consistency.

Key capabilities:

  • Formulas support basic math operators and can reference any numeric columns in the table.
  • A wizard, embedded in the editor, helps administrators quickly generate working syntax
  • Results can be formatted using numeric formatting options
  • Formula column results can be totaled using the column total feature, allowing the results to be used in workflow, dashboards, and elsewhere.

Example:

You can auto-fill a new column by multiplying the Quantity column by the Unit Price column using a simple formula like this:

$Quantity$ * $Unit Price$

Enhancements

Improved Task Form Copying

Administrators now have greater control when copying task forms. A new option makes it simple to configure whether a copied form should be user-creatable from within the HighGear interface. This makes it easier to prevent unintentionally allowing users to create forms that were exclusively intended for automations or rule-based usage at later stages of workflow
